Remember when rock and roll was sonically creative?
Bonesy produces guitar-driven music backed by 808’s and digital beats, with an emphasis on modulation, as opposed to distortion. He utilizes EDM, hyperpop and trap influenced sounds to create a new backdrop for guitar driven songs about angst, apathy and a yearning for something more in life. Inspired by the hipsters of the early years of rock and roll, Bonesy hopes to keep the genre fresh by utilizing the technology of today to create something new.
In years prior, Bonesy was entertaining and recording across southern Alberta, as a member of grunge rock trio GreenBones in pre-Covid years, going solo post-Covid and independently releasing his first album, “Boneyard”, in February 2024. Bonesy is currently working on new music for GreenBones.
2026 is slated to be a big year, with three singles released already and more one the way. Bonesy’s eclectic output ranges from pop to punk and promises to keep listeners on their toes, with increasing quality and production value as he gains experience. The next release, “Poison in Every Puff,” which comes out July 1st, is about cigarette warning labels, you can pre-save it here.
Originally from Calgary, AB, Canada, Bonesy will be based out of Brisbane, QLD, Australia for the next 8 months, where he is studying recorded sound.
